Last Chance to Order
Bareroot Fruit Trees!

Bareroot fruit trees are only available by special order, otherwise, they arrive in containers.

The cut-off date for ordering bareroot fruit trees is Tuesday, November 3rd. There are several real benefits to ordering bareroot:

• Selection - Dozens of less common varieties are available.

• Price - Bareroot trees cost far less than those in containers.

• Rootstock choices - Many varieties offer choices of rootstock for differing soils and size preferences.

• Reliability - When planted immediately and properly, most bareroot trees "take" more readily than those in containers. There are a few exceptions, which is why we do not offer figs, pomegranates and persimmons bareroot.

Click here to see the complete list and order form. You can special order trees by phone using a credit card. The bareroot fruit trees are from Dave Wilson, a leading fruit tree grower. See davewilson.com for descriptions of the varieties and rootstocks. Yamagami's offers all the supplies and support you'll need to succeed in your garden of eatin'.

Ruben's Fall Planting Picks:
Edible Ornamentals

Costa Mix Calendula has larger flowers than most other Calendulas, and blooms early and profusely in vivid oranges and yellows. The vibrant mix really brightens up dreary winter days, and their edible petals brighten up winter soups and salads. The Costa Calendulas grow to about 1' tall in sunny spots in containers or in the ground.

Costa Mix Calendula

'Tis the season for Pumpkin Pie Pansies! This beautiful mix has large flowers and blooms profusely fall through spring in delicious shades of orange, yellow and white. Something about the cheery pansy faces inspires smiles. Plant them as cover over daffodil bulbs for twice the pleasure. Pansy blossoms can be candied or eaten fresh.

Pumpkin Pie Pansies

San Giuseppe Cauliflower is an Italian heirloom Romanesco Cauliflower prized for its rich taste. Its lime green spiral head is a treat for the eye as well as the palate. Roasting it really brings out its nutty flavor. It is attractive enough to mix with flowers like Calendulas or Pansies in a container or in beds.

Salanova™ Lettuces represent a breakthrough in plant breeding. All the Salanova™ leaves are the same size and joined at the base, instead of being aligned along a central core in graduated size from small to large and tough. They are beautiful on the plate and in the garden.

The Salanovas™ are leaf lettuces of different colors and leaf shapes. What they share is excellent flavor and "loft," making them all the rage in foodie palaces. You can grow these gems yourself!

Anna's Promise...Best
Kept Secret...is Dee-lish!

Sounds scandalous, right? Sorry, it's just the name of three of the new roses for 2015. Roses in biodegradable paper pots start arriving just before Christmas, but you can order them now! Yamagami's offers some new stunners as well as old favorites. Let's focus on these three new varieties.

'Anna's Promise' is a tall, beautiful grandiflora with pink blushed gold petals that reverse to coppery color and a sweet, fruity fragrance. Her name is inspired by a character in Downton Abbey, Anna, the maid.

'Anna's Promise' Rose

'Best Kept Secret' is a pink hybrid tea rose with a strong citrus fragrance. It has long buds on long stems, a terrific cut rose. The plant is disease resistant.

'Best Kept Secret' Rose

'Dee-lish' is a deep pink hybrid tea rose with a rich fragrance. It also is a sturdy, disease resistant plant offering exhibition-worthy blossoms.
